Rider Spotlight: Boris’s Motorcycle Tour of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way
Some riders chase distance, others chase roads. For Boris, it’s about something even better: the chance to explore new places and discover what waits beyond the next bend.
Boris joined Lemonrock Motorcycle Tours with a friend for his first trip to Ireland. He was ready to experience the landscapes, roads, and culture he’d heard so much about. What followed was a week of epic riding, warm welcomes, and moments that will stay with him for years to come.
Why Ireland?
For Boris, the answer was simple: “I love riding a motorcycle and exploring different places.”
Ireland offered the perfect combination of dramatic scenery, unique culture, welcoming people, and roads built for adventure. When searching for the right company to experience it with, Lemonrock stood out immediately: “As a local company with solid background in organizing motorcycle tours, it was an easy choice.”
A Journey Full of Highlights
Ask Boris for three standout moments, and he’ll tell you the whole trip deserves the title! Still, a few memories rose to the top for him.

Kinsale Charm
One of the highlights was staying in Kinsale, a colorful harbor town known for its food, atmosphere, and character. “I loved our stay in Kinsale,” he said. “Amazing hotel with Georgian decor and ambiance, vibrant little town with so many of great spots for drinks and food.”
Ring of Kerry & Dingle Peninsula
For riders, some roads simply stay with you forever. The Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula delivered “adventure full of cultural heritage, endless twisties, impressive landscapes, and much, much more.”
It’s the kind of riding day that reminds you why motorcycles are the best way to see the world.
Discovering the Blasket Story
One of Boris’s most meaningful moments came at The Blasket Centre on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula:
“Probably one of my favourite parts was visiting The Blasket Centre located on the tip of Dingle Peninsula. I didn’t know anything about the Blasket Islands, but I learned the story of the Islands and the unique community who lived there until the mid-20th century, the community’s struggle for existence, folklore & customs, and their extraordinary literary legacy and how emigration and decline led to the final evacuation of the island in 1953.”
It’s a perfect reminder that the best tours are never only about the roads.

The Irish Welcome
Throughout the journey, Boris and his friend met many people along the way:
“We have met and talked to a lot of people (mainly locals) along our trip, and they are known for their warmth, hospitality, and love of their culture. They were all very welcoming, showing proud of their heritage, particularly the traditional music and folklore of the region.”
That warmth and openness is something many riders remember long after the engine is switched off.
Advice for Future Riders
For anyone considering their own Irish motorcycle adventure, Boris had clear advice: “Ireland is a must for motorcycle touring. Don’t hesitate, just go for it!”
Looking back on the experience, Boris sums it up perfectly:
“What a fantastic experience! Absolutely amazing weather for the whole week, allowing us to fully appreciate and enjoy the stunning twisty roads, breathtaking views and the charming Irish hospitality at every stop. The accommodations and the routes were spot-on, offering us a fantastic blend of adventure, relaxation, local history and culture. We really enjoyed the delicious Irish food and the warm welcomes from locals along the way. It was a trip filled with unforgettable sights, flavours, and experiences that we will cherish forever.”
And he left us with a beautiful Irish saying: “An té a bhíónn siúlach, bíonn scéalach.” (He who travels, has stories to tell).
Thank you, Boris, for sharing your story. We are delighted Lemonrock was part of the journey and hope to ride with you again soon!
